We sat and talked for hours
About our lives in the past year
We laughed at the humour
And at the sadness shed a tear
We each gained new perspective
On the things that’ve come to pass
And wondered about the future
Whether it will be light or dark
And how, as they get older
Will our children leave their mark?
We talked of our Angel Babies
And their impact on our souls
Then turned to other news
And how we have evolved
Let’s hope it’s not another year
Before we meet again
May the days bring you joy
And much happiness ’til then
